Kamakahonu Beach (in walking distance)

This is the closest beach to where you are staying. It is approximately a 5 to 10 minute walk away. It is small, but peaceful and relaxing and the water is calm. The beach is located immediately on the other side of the King Kamehameha's Marriott Kona Beach Hotel and it is open to the public.

Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park

This national park is not located in Kailua-Kona, but it is only a two hour drive away. This natural site features two of the world's most active volcanoes and is an official UNESCO World Heritage Site.
